Day 1: The Most Important Element Of A Successful Business

To significantly increase your business within a 30 day period key activities need to be taken. However, before you begin getting your hands dirty you must first get key fundamentals right.

For today’s task you will need to print out this email and answer the two following questions;

1. What are your immediate short term goals for your business?
I.e. 3 month period, number of sales, cash flow, media exposure etc.

2. What are your overall long term business goals? I.e. would you like to sell your business, have others run it while you sit back and make a profit or be an active long term contributor to it?

Spend a good 15 or more minutes answering these questions.

Why?

If you don’t know what your destination is, how are you going to find the road map to get there, let alone recognize it when it’s sitting right in front of you? Of which it will be over the coming days.

Be very clear and concise when answering these questions. Your short term and long term business goals should be in a visual place at all times at your place of work.

This is critical. Having them in clear view means that you know and understand what you are working towards and can align the daily activities in your business towards reaching your milestones.
