DAY 26
7 Step Sales Process To Success
One of the biggest questions I always get asked is; “How do I increase my sales and drive new revenue and profits quickly?”
Thankfully it’s incredibly simple.
One of the biggest challenges we face when it comes to attracting more customers is building up enough trust with them that they will spend a significant enough amount of money with us that it increases the average dollar spend per customer, thereby driving profits and decreasing marketing expenses in the long term.
Every successful business has a defined product / service offering which includes a lower priced entry-level product / service, with successively increasing prices for more expensive offerings with greater and more intensive experiences with you or the business.
Think for a moment about your mobile phone plan. At the time of signing up you will have been offered a basic / starter package, a mid tier one that was slightly more expensive, then a premium offering based on your needs.
At any point in time you can easily upgrade, thereby spending more with your service provider. This enables them to drive greater revenue, instead of offering the ‘one size fits all model,’ they have the capacity for each customer to spend more with them if they wish – a strategy I am now going to show you how to do in your own business.
Below is a recommended product / service offering for your ascension marketing model to step your customers through from opting into your database online / in store for a complimentary offer, right through to your most expensive one. Each product / service created or sold must pre-sell the next, i.e, step one will build the need for step two, step two builds the need for step three and so on.
This creates a seamless customer experience and only present’s details to the prospect or customer in chunk size pieces of information, thereby preventing any possible overwhelm and failure to purchase from occurring whether face-to-face, in store or online.
This model cannot only be used for selling services, but it can also be leveraged for selling physical products. The formula stays the same it’s just the packages that change.
To put you on the fast track, I recommend following this model. The pricing will be dictated on the ‘perceived’ value you create for each offering and what the market is willing to pay. Remember the golden rule – perception is reality. A key element we will be delving further into in the coming weeks.
Here’s now a powerful example of a 6-7 figure business / ascension marketing model that you can use to simplify your business to drive greater cash flow and profits quickly.
You begin by offering your prospects;
1. SOMETHING FREE: Newsletter / Free Report / Sample / Audio / E-Book Free
2. SOMETHING CHEAP: Book / E-book / Email Course / Physical Product / $34.95 – $49.95 +
3. SOMETHING MORE EXPENSIVE: Online Course / Audio Program / Book Pack Plus Workbook / Preview Event / Monthly Membership / VIP Club $97 + outright / monthly
4. SOMETHING EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE: Multi-Media Learning Program (audio, written, videos, emails, templates, worksheets), product package + added services?$695 – $1497 +
5. SOMETHING VERY EXPENSIVE: Weekend Intensive Workshop / Speaking Engagement / Once Off Coaching Session / Consulting / Expensive or Exclusive Product Offering $997 – $2997
6. SOMETHING EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE: 12 Week – 12 Month Coaching / Mentoring Program / Consulting / High End Product Offering $4997 +
7. SOMETHING VERY, VERY EXPENSIVE: 12 Week – 12 Month Coaching / Mentoring Program + Access to Online Learning Center, High End Templates, Advice, Feedback, Added Support, License / Franchise Model?$9997 – $14,997 +
As you can see from this example, there are seven potential steps each prospect could take with your business.
Instead of them only spending a little with you, you may find that some customers could have spent well over $20,000 with you once they have completed their journey – dependent on what you’re offering.
This level of service must be of high standard and several checks must be put in place to ensure you are delivering what you have promised.
By using this model – your ability to dramatically increase your revenue jumps immediately.
Once you have defined your own ascension marketing and business model, it is only a matter of filling your sales funnel and letting your automated marketing processes and sales team do the work for you to close the necessary sales to help grow or turn your business around.
By looking at your sales figures you will be able to see what the minimum is that individuals spend with you currently and what the maximum is that they are willing to pay.
To increase profits, we must increase the average dollar sale each customer spends with you to better increase the profitability of your marketing campaigns – this system will help you achieve this.
So, how can you apply this in your business to drive sales and maximize profits?
Print off this email and fill out the following to complete the ascension / marketing model for your business.
Now, do you need seven possible steps in your model as outlined above?
No, however for a business to be profitable, you must have at least three offerings.
Why?
Because it can be incredibly expensive to secure one customer, if they are only spending a little with you and you have nothing else to offer them – you’ve created what I call a ‘single point of failure’ within your business. It’s reliant on one product only. If those sales stop, your cash flow comes to an instant halt.
I cover in more detail later in the program about how you can reduce other ‘single points of failure’ within your business for greater growth, but for now, complete the following critical steps to turning your business around quickly and for setting it on the right path.
Also, get creative and look outside of the examples I’ve provided for you here. You know your offerings better than anyone else. It’s just time to map them out in a specific sequence of steps to simplify your business and realign your focus
Complete the following:
1. Something Cheap – (i.e. book, report, reduced consultation, sample at a reduced price)
Product / Service:
Price:
2. Something More Expensive – (i.e. slightly more expensive package – products or services package up)
Product / Service:
Price:
3. Something Very Expensive – (i.e. expensive event tickets, consultation package / product package)
Product / Service:
Price:
By identifying your ascension / marketing model you literally create a three step sales process (or more if you wish). They purchase something cheap and because they’ve had a taste of what you offer, to get the full offering / more intensive experience they must come back and purchase something more expensive and so on, all whilst providing great levels of experience.
Think of it like the school system. We attend pre-school, middle school, high school and then university if we choose. If you were to give everyone ‘everything’ in one hit, you’d not only overwhelm them, you’d confuse them.
Mapping out your product and service offerings in this manner makes it simple and easy for them to buy from you. This is KING in marketing and making money in business.
Psychologically it has been PROVEN that if an individual is willing to make a small commitment, i.e. spend $30, then making a larger commitment with that same business isn’t as strenuous and can in fact improve sales significantly overall.
Your task today is to define your ascension model as we continue to work towards pulling together a complete business model that steps prospects through a very specific process to ensure they spend top dollar with your business.
Until tomorrow…
